![]() ![]() I sort of thought that maybe that's where Ms. There were a lot of different plot threads, which made the book needlessly complicated, although, I suppose, such is life.I wasn't sure what the point of the yearbook comments and Gina's little essays were at the end (other than it wasn't your typical romance epilogue: one year later they have a bundle of joy, blah blah blah). ![]() That attack was more graphic than the actual romance, which detracted from the story.There was a suggestion of a potential love triangle, and frankly, that might have been an intriguing path for the story to take. There is a graphic attack that is revisited several times. Twenty years later, they meet again at their high school reunion.This book is not. Until the unthinkable happened and Gina lost her footing, and in an effort to not take Mike down with her, ended it. Andrews seems to enjoy making her characters suffer.The story: Gina and Mike were high school sweet hearts, who around Christmas of their senior year fully looked like they'd go on to their happily ever after. ![]() Oh my God! Romance for characters older than 21?!?Other than that, there really is no question as to how the book is going to end, but the journey is a little different from most, and Ms. It wasn't bad, and the most interesting thing, to me, was the fact that the main characters were almost 40. Review 1: I'm not sure if this was a free read or one of Amazon's deals of the day. ![]()
